Ultra-high-strength ductile cast iron with minimum tensile strength 900 MPa and minimum elongation 2%. The highest strength grade in EN 1563 for conventional (non-ADI) ductile iron. Always requires heat treatment (normalizing + tempering or quenching + tempering). Very high yield strength of 600 MPa minimum. Used for the most demanding ductile iron applications: heavy-duty gears, high-performance crankshafts, and structural components replacing steel forgings.
